2015 International Bionic Engineering, Refrigeration and Heat Transfer Workshop and the 5th BiApproNFS-Wett Meeting was held in Dalian, China

2015 International Bionic Engineering, Refrigeration and Heat Transfer Workshop and the 5th BiApproNFS-Wett Meeting was held on August 13-14 at Dalian Maritime University, China. 
 
Nearly 30 representatives from UK, Germany, Portugal, Thailand, and China attended the workshop and meeting. Yuying YAN, deputy General Secretary of ISBE and a professor of Nottingham University, chaired the workshop. ISBE Vice President Dr. Thomas Stegmaier from ITV Denkendorf (Germany), ISBE General Secretary Jianqiao LI from Jilin University (China), and some other Board of Directors including Dr. Ana Moita from Instituto Superior Técnico(Portugal), Prof. Zhiwu HAN from Jilin University (China) gave reports at the workshop. 
 
The topics including bionic functional surfaces, bionic fluid coupling, and energy efficient among others were discussed during the workshop. The workshop was a memorable event on popularizing bionic engineering, refrigeration, heat transfer and its ideas, and played an important role on promoting the communication and collaborations among the scholars around the world.
