About workshop
Over 3.5 billion years of natural history have evolved innumerable example of form, system and processes and come up with the best solutions with maximal performances. One way to sustainable development, using techniques that are millions of years ago, handled and optimized by nature.
If we look at nature as a model for design, we could find that in its intelligence everything is connected. Bionic in architecture is a new field involved with mimicking idea from natural form, structures, materials and biological mechanisms, function and processes has been influential towards achieving optimized methods, materials, processes structures, tools, mechanism and systems in various field.
In architecture we could use building that use energy more efficiently; building that react to environment with the sensitivity of a natural organism; buildings that a little more like they are part of nature rather than a complete separate organism from the Environment.
The new approach presented in this workshop is to deliver a wholly new perspective on architectural achievements and will help to manifest the approaches huge innovative potential. In this workshop various aspect of employing bionic in architecture are reviewed, whereas the main emphasis is on modeling natural forms and optimizing these forms for structural and environmental purposes.
